Supporting Ofsted preparation
- DigiSmart improves attainment, boosts self-esteem and has a positive impact on behaviour, which helps improve behaviour in class and across the school
- DigiSmart gives schools an opportunity to address the educational experiences of individual children who might not otherwise qualify for additional support
- DigiSmart allows schools to focus on the educational experiences of children who fall into specific groups, such as FSM or EAL
- DigiSmart supports reading aloud by improving children’s reading skills and building their confidence through literacy work and presentations
- DigiSmart enables children to apply basic skills across the curriculum via ICT-based research and project work
- DigiSmart delivers Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) education by encouraging children to engage with issues such as being a good citizen, bullying and e-safety
- DigiSmart generates evidence that allows schools to demonstrate children’s learning and progress over time
- DigiSmart staff costs could be funded through the Pupil Premium (from September 2012 schools will be required to report on how they are using the Pupil Premium)
