The price of unfulfilled potential is a lifetime of missed opportunity — a loss not only for the individual but the country as a whole.

Evidence that DigiSmart works

The DigiSmart programme programme has been specifically designed to enable under-achieving Year 5 children to enjoy a successful learning experience.

Change happens — and is seen to happen — quickly. The children become motivated by the activities and by their success. They become more willing to engage, not only in DigiSmart but back in class too.

Each year we assess aspects of project activity to ensure that DigiSmart is improving children's educational achievements in quantifiable ways.

We have a body of evidence gathered over several years showing consistently strong improvements in these areas.

Feedback from schools and parents also tells us that children’s whole demeanour changes. They participate more fully at school and are happier as individuals because they have experienced success and the self-belief this brings. They have proved that they ‘can do it’.

“I’m sad that DigiSmart has ended but I will never stop being DigiSmart.”

“DigiSmart gives children a reason to read. Much of its success is due to it being a real motivator, even for disaffected children who find it a challenge to concentrate or deal with quantities of text.”
