Ingredients for success
DigiSmart has been run as a action research project for a number of years. We have trialled the activities and materials extensively and used feedback from teachers and children to improve the programme of activities to ensure the best possible outcomes for everyone involved.
Children respond well to DigiSmart for a number of reasons:
well-structured and progressional programme
interactive and varied materials
motivating topics and format
clear target setting
regular self-assessment and feedback
good balance of challenge and enjoyment
safe, supportive and affirming context
There are a number of important factors contributing to the success of the project as an intervention strategy in primary schools.
