Schools commit to partnership
DigiSmart has been designed to deliver an experience of success in learning for children who have probably known very little of this in the classroom. The project is not a typical after school computer club where children might dip into a range of activities, or work at computers with minimal intervention by teaching staff.
We therefore try to make sure that schools know what to expect from DigiSmart and to be clear about the level of commitment required. This helps to ensure that the partnership is a happy and dynamic one.
We ask schools to indicate their reasons for wanting to offer DigiSmart by completing an application.
All schools confirmed as taking part complete an enrolment process in June which includes booking the Lead Teacher's staff development.
