Sustained motivating programme
DigiSmart offers 10 weekly CORE sessions, plus an additional 9 MORE sessions.
We encourage schools to offer both the CORE and the MORE because the rewards are very great. Whilst children develop many skills in the 10 week CORE programme, the additional time given to the MORE in the second term builds upon, strengthens and extends the overall gains they are able to make.
The DigiSmart framework also includes peer mentoring opportunities for children in the third term which allow them to benefit from the status and experience of helping others, to practise and reinforce their skills, and consolidate their sense of success.
This sustained experience helps to bring home to them that DigiSmart has not ended. It is for life.
